I dont mean to start anything, but it seems after last update req 8 inscr items are more common, I've seen 3... Req 8 Darkwing defenders for sale (I bought one at an insanely high price (now sorry I did) Im now seeing req 8 inscr SWORDS for sale in Kamadam, guidlie got a req 8 Healing ank .. and I myself got a req 8 kornan defender in hard mode vanq..

so my question is.. Did the req 8 drop rate change or is everyone just really lucky right now?

(By req 8 I mean all gold items) or am is it all just in my head?

I know I've only got 2-3 in my 2 years of playing GW...

I know! right.. I didnt get any req 8's for ages.. and now there seems to be alot of them,. INCLUDING req 8 Inscr Swords. theres an req 8 Elemental blade for sale in Kamadam right now.. I've never seen a req 8 blade before this week, and I deffently never expceted to see 3 req 8 darkwing defenders within 24 hours.
I dunno maybe its just.. a weird fluke.

they might have indeed changed it. seems a few folks were pestering gaile about q7/8 weps.

I get r8's blues and purples all the time maxed out all the time. They drop like rain if you know where to farm them, always have. Shields, weapons, other offhands, everything. They've always been pretty common. It's the elusive r7 maxed out inscribeable that is very rare.

Thats the whole crutch of the problem is just knowing where to maximize finding them that most people didnt know about thats why they are rare. HM and GWEN increased the number of mobs with higher lvls thus increasing the chance for req8's to drop more not to mention that most people are playing in those areas of the game now.

the "elusive" req7 max inscribable showed up in the auctions section of guru. in the form of a crystalline sword. i believe its photoshopped or something, but its worth a look. the current bid is 10 mil

People may have just decided to sell their items at the same time, it's common in the market for that stuff to happen. It's also where like, you want an item but you never find it which in that case it feels like forever even though its a couple of days. After you get the item your happy, but you start noticing more version of the same item coming along, most likely because your not focused so much on the item anymore that you dont notice how much time has passed, and when you see a copy of it you're like OMFG WHY IS THERE ANOTHER?(Yeah confusing)

The crystalline in question is a pathetic excuse for a photoshop.

Look at the 7 in the picture, then pull up any other req 7 auction with a pic. The font and size are both quite clearly different.

I hope for his/her sake that the "seller" never tries his/her hand at counterfeiting.

there shouldnt be weapons below req9. (anet should simply "fix" them)
overpowered pve skills and lower req weapons.....pve makes no sense anymore.
at this point might aswell alllow cheats, godmode etc etc.....it's not like there's any balance to preserve anymore.

re8 inscribable offhands have been common since NF, I remember req8 auerate lamps and the like being hot items, and as for the swords and shields, it's always been based on level, and that makes them rather rare to find in HM farms. (The first time I saw an abundance of re8 golds was the old deadsword farm.) As for their recent resurgance, I've seen req8 common skinned items come from chests, it's possible this can be true with rarer flavors, and the amount of chests being opened in GW:EN is quite overwhelming

unfortunetly the 2 r8's that i still have in possession are customized as i was unaware of their rarity at the time

I really dont want to know how many req 8's i merched however >: (
